2017 Adventures

...the year in review...
After the wild ride of 2016, where I visited twice as many places as I normally would, embarking on a three week eleven state road trip, 2017 looks quiet by comparison. However, two short road trips and mine and Robin's honeymoon made this year the second most heavily traveled year since I started hiking. The first road trip took The Dog Wonder and myself down south to see all of the state parks and a wildlife refuge in the southwest part of the state. Shortly thereafter I reunited with both Randall and Matt for our first adventure as a trio in seven years. Robin and I made our honeymoon spot in a sleepy little town in South Carolina, where we explored salt marshes, took a storm battered ferry ride to Fort Sumter and toured the only tea plantation in the United States! Late summer brought a trip to Georgia and an obscure state park right on the South Carolina line to see the solar eclipse, and our first camping trip as a couple, a truly amazing experience.
