After record cold, I scouted out ice formations at some of the best spots in the Sipsey Wilderness and Bankhead National Forest. The falls pictured are Mize Mill Falls, Turkeyfoot Falls, Kinlock Falls, Parker Falls, Caney Creek Falls, and Holmes Chapel Falls. The next day, I ventured back down for volunteer work with Wild South, adding Feather Hawk Falls and Fall Creek Falls to the list.
