An Introduction... Who am I? I'm a photo taking, rock hopping, pen scratching, bonsai clipping, map drawing meteorology nerd. I am not, however, a degreed meteorologist, though meteorology is my passion [mesoscale and tropical meteorology, nowcasting, climatology, the urban environment (particularly flooding)...if I can get my hands on it, I'll read it]. Geographer by degree, cartographer by trade, but I consider myself a geoscientist. I like it all; I don't discriminate. Many of my hobbies have been fueled by this passion...hiking, camping, cycling, bonsai, gardening, collecting petrified wood and rocks in general, horticulture, photography, frisbee golf....if it's outdoors, there's a fair chance I enjoy it [maybe not rock climbing aussie style, but I haven't actually tried that yet]. So why a website? Because I like having everything in one spot. Sure, I do use separate sites for the journal and videos, because of convenience, and I do eventually get tired of writing html. There's more entertaining things to life, like feeding catnip to cats, and weeding the garden. I highly recommend both of those activities! |
