2008 Adventures
...the year in review...
Justin and I kicked off the year though with a Sipsey hike of our own, finally making it to the fabled Big Tree in the heart of the Sipsey Wilderness. I discovered new preserves, like Wade Mountain, and unheard of places, such as Pisgah Gorge in Northeast Alabama. I had finally started to settle in camping solo, tackling a longer overnight stay at Cane Creek Canyon in the northwest part of the state. The end of the year brought my first foray into Tennessee hiking, which unfortunately had me tearing a ligament in a climb on the Fiery Gizzard Trail. I mended in time for a proper bookend to the year with another hike to the Big Tree.
