2007 Adventures
...the year in review...
A topsy-turvy year on a personal level, I moved to Huntsville, AL for a bit of a fresh start. Finding a job in my field was wonderful, and being back home in the mountains of Alabama felt right. I’d soon learn that the area was rich with places to get outdoors after being trail starved for a few years. I finally got the chance to camp solo, and 2007 was also the first I’d hiked with Dad, just the two of us. The Muddy Boot Clan managed a few adventures early on, some of our last as a foursome. A new group of muddy booters would soon emerge, though, and we stayed at a bit of a hidden gem I’d been before that the locals call Cherokee Rock Village.
